Molokai Channel Swim from a search on the web Located between the Hawaiian islands of Molokai and Oahu, the Channel (also known as the Kaiwi Channel, or “the Channel of Bones”) is approximately 27 miles (43 kilometers) wide, and it has a maximum depth of 2,300 feet (701 meters). To be completely honest, approximately 70% of swimmers, and possibly even more, fail on their first attempt.

Position By swimming the Molokai channel, Prabhat successfully the third leg of the Ocean7 challenge also become the youngest & fastest Asian swimmer on the KAIWI channel.

About Event

It is one of the toughest & longest among Ocean7 challenges. Since 1961 only 78 swims are succeeded in crossing this Kaiwi channel, Prabhat is the 53rd successor of the Kaiwi channel. This portion of North Pacific difficult to swim windy, choppy, big swells moreover huge marine creatures and night swim makes this swim more difficult. It was too windy that day the kayak was flip on Prabhat twice. After fighting tough conditions, Prabhat completes this swim in 17hrs & 22min. Prabhat finish swims at the very small Allen Device beach, where few swimmers could finish their swim. Read National Events!
